I have stayed in a fair number of vacation rentals over the past 40 years and this was the best. Easy to get to, easy to get in and out of, hard to leave. (guest review — Jul 2018)
Our stay was blessed from start to finish! We spent so much time talking, relaxing and taking in the beauty of the view (whether from the hot tub, both decks or the comfy sofas… where ever we were we could see the gorgeous view!) (guest review — Feb 2016)
Fabulous view both morning and night, great large hot tub on the lower deck. (guest review — Sep 2013)
The views, fire pit, hot tub, gas grill & the accommodations are 5 star. (guest review — Sep 2015)
There’s something special about eating out on the deck with the beauty of the mountains as your backdrop. (guest review — Aug 2016)
Each day waking up to beautiful mountain views was a perfect way to renew and relax! (guest review — Jul 2018)
The cabin has a feel like no other, from the views to relaxing in the hot tub and then kicking back next to the fire pit talking late into the night. I could write a short story about the fun we had at Pilot’s Perch but you need to experience it for yourself. (guest review — Oct 2016)
The lower deck with the hot tub and sectional around the fire pit was absolutely heaven. (guest review — Jun 2015)
“We loved sitting on the porch at sunset sharing wine around the fire pit..” (guest review — Dec. ’17)
The cabin was just as advertised, beautiful, long peaceful views… (guest review — Sep 2017)
There is not much better than just sitting and marveling at God’s glorious creation. It had two porches to enjoy with one directly out of our bedroom. At night it was so incredible to look out from the room and watch stray thunderstorms sweep by with their lightning flashes lightning the sky like fireworks. (guest review — Aug 2018)
“It was such a Blessing to have had this experience. The cabin is immaculate with “breath taking” views & having the decks & hot tub was wonderful. Everything inside & out is beautifully decorated-so nice that you forget about everything!” (guest review — May 2017)

We loved the comfy sofas… the cabin is spacious. (guest review — Jun 2018)
The fireplace kept us cozy in January, as we watched movies on plush couches with recline features. (guest review — Jan 2014)
…cuddling on the couch next to the fire place, jumping in the hot tub and watch snow fall, and just enjoying a good movie inside makes it a wonderful stay. (guest review — Nov 2014)
“…variety of places to enjoy the view… including… the wall of windows!” (guest review — Feb 2017)
We spent so much time talking, relaxing and taking in the beauty of the view (whether from the hot tub, both decks or the comfy sofas… where ever we were we could see the gorgeous view!)! (guest review — Feb 2016)
Most places have empty cabinets and empty drawers, here it was 100% different. Most anything you need they have for you. (guest review — Nov 2014)
The kitchen had all necessary utensils and appliances for all our cooking needs!! We truly felt at home! (guest review — Apr 2014)
…the private hot tub deck on the back with mountain views was our favorite. It extends from a lovely master bedroom suite that suited us perfectly. (guest review — Mar 2014)
We are very particular about a clean rental and a comfortable bed, and we have never experienced both in any rental. But this rental met both expectations, comfortable and clean! (guest review — Jul 2018)
…the beds are some of the most comfortable we have ever slept on. (guest review — Jul 2017)
I can’t say enough about the view and what makes this cabin so special… is that you have that great view no matter which level of the cabin you are enjoying. (guest review — Aug 2016)
Bedrooms are amply separated for privacy, and beds are very comfortable with nice quality linens. (guest review — Jan 2014)

The lower pond is within walking distance of the cabin — I wonder if Andy and Opie ever fished here?
If things just get too hectic at the cabin, pack up and head to the picnic area.
The upper pond is also close by. Both ponds are catch and release.
A waterfall feeds the lower pond.
You never know who might show up.
The picnic area is within walking distance, but you’ll probably want to drive to bring the food and drink — and it gives you an excuse to drive through the covered bridge.
A doe and a fawn inspect the visitors
Yogi might make an appearance.
A guest took this picture of deer in the backyard of the cabin.
A covered bridge overlooks the picnic area.

You can close your eyes and listen to the water in the bold creek.
